Kent Myers Design — Tattoo City

Art shown above from the Flash artist gallery.

Tattoo City is the origin of the master tattoo artist Ed Hardy's fashion empire. With more than 50 retail stores around the world in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Dubai and beyond, Tattoo City is the historic parlor that started it all and continues to operate under Ed Hardy's supervision.

Myers was charged with the task of rebuilding the store's gallery, adding hundreds of new tattoo images from the shop's artists. Walt Morton got the ball rolling as we moved from an old PERL system to Flash. Myers created a new look, tone & feel for the gallery section, revised the store logo, and applied the new branding to the remainder of the site which was otherwise left largely intact. The new Flash gallery was a big success featuring larger images, more of them, and improved ease of maintenance.
