In 1998 Nordstrom set a target of becoming the world's first and premiere online shoe retailer, adding to Nordstrom's already powerful online shopping network. The strength of Nordstrom's online brand was built on the ease-of-use and customer service reputation of their brick & mortar stores and carried through into their online brand.

Sapient Inc, was the marketing and technology agency for Nordstrom's entry into the e-Commerce arena. Sapient worked with Microsoft in developing the back end functionality, and contacted Kent Myers for the front end production of this large and dynamic web site. We provided hand coded HTML for more than 100 HTML pages used as templates for the e-Commerce back end. The result was a beautiful online presence that designated Nordstrom as an early leader in fashion e-Commerce.
