San Francisco has been a hotbed of Internet innovation since 1994 when Netscape & Yahoo were founded nearby, and together brought the Internet to mainstreet. With an existing large base of advertising and graphic artists in the city, and its proximity to Silicon Valley giants HP, Intel, Apple, Oracle, Sun, Google & eBay, San Francisco is to web design what Detroit is to the auto industry and Paris to the fashion industry. I've been active in the SF internet scene throughout its heyday, bust, and rebirth. There's no place like it.
